Purple Day week will be observed with over 150 campaigns all over India. Some programs:

  • Mumbai Public meeting on on 7th April 2.30 pm at Savarkar Hall adj to Mayor’s bungalow at Shivaji Park.
    Theme ‘Problems in education, employment and marriage in Persons with epilepsy’
  • Mumbai Adoption of 1000 children from lower economic strata
  • Mumbai Launch of ‘Employ ONE person with epilepsy’ program
  • Mumbai Monthly school and college awareness meetings.
  • AIIMS New Delhi meeting at the India habitat center on problem solving strategies for patients. The colour purple will be the theme.
  • Shree Chitra SCTIMST Trivandrum All staff will wear purple ribbons.
  • NIMHANS Bangalore all staff will wear purple ribbons.
  • Pune Public awareness program by Dr Nandan Yardi, Dr Sudhir Kothari and Dr Rahul Kulkarni
  • Pune D Y Patil Hospital Drama on epilepsy. Poster campaign and talk on epilepsy
  • Ludhiana Patient meet, painting competition and fancy dress competition
  • Nagpur public meeting in Nagpur’s ‘Hyde’ park with also movie on epilepsy.
  • Jalgaon epilepsy camp
